Diesel Technician — Pickups & Medium Duty
$30–$45/hr Flat Rate | 4-Day Workweek | Grand Junction, CO
Driven Diagnostics Auto & Diesel Repair is a family-owned shop in Grand Junction, CO, specializing in diesel-powered pickups and medium-duty trucks (Duramax, Cummins, Power Stroke, Isuzu NPR, and more). We’re hiring one experienced, self-driven Diesel Technician who can own a bay from diagnosis to delivery.
This is a skilled, self-sufficient role — not a helper position. You’ll run your own work, set your own pace, and be trusted to do it right. If you follow a disciplined diagnostic process, document your work, and take pride in fixing it correctly the first time, you’ll fit in well here.
What You’ll Do
•Diagnose and repair light- and medium-duty diesel vehicles — drivability, electrical, aftertreatment (DPF/DEF/EGR), and chassis.
•Run a structured, repeatable diagnostic process (no parts-swapping, no guesswork) using OEM-level scan tools.
•Complete thorough digital vehicle inspections (DVI) and document findings clearly and consistently.
•Work independently — manage your own workflow and hold a high standard without hand-holding.
What You Bring
•5+ years proven hands-on diesel repair and diagnostic experience (pickups and/or medium duty).
•Confident with electrical testing, drivability, and aftertreatment (DPF/DEF/EGR) systems.
•Familiar with the major platforms — Duramax, Cummins, Power Stroke, Isuzu, etc.
•Methodical diagnostics — you confirm the fault before you replace the part.
•Clean DVI and documentation habits.
•Self-motivated, dependable, and able to run your own bay with minimal oversight.
•Valid driver’s license.
•ASE or OEM certifications preferred; willing to earn and maintain ASE certifications within 90 days of hire (we help and pay for training).
